The open door provides an opportunity  for church members  and their friends to socialise  through various activities, and share a meal, in a ​relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Open Door meets once a month,  in St Aidan's hall on a Tuesday from 10.30 to 2pm.​

Open Door is suitable for retired and older members of the parish and the community. 


The programme includes:​

  • Morning  tea/coffee and newspapers/ magazines​

  • ​A library - books to borrow which cover all interests​

  • ​Activities including bowls, table games, puzzles and crafts​

  • ​Visiting speakers  who will talk about various subjects including local history, home safety and missionary updates​

  • ​A two course meal​

  • ​“Thought  for the Day”​

  • Outings to places of interest
