St Aidan's Graveyard, Glenavy
Having conducted a risk assessment, we are pleased to be able to inform you that with effect from MONDAY 27th April at 1pm,
the Church graveyard will once again be open for those wishing to visit the graves of loved ones.
We would remind you to observe social distancing measures at all times, keeping a minimum of 2 metres between yourself and anybody who does not live in the same house as you.
We ask that you take any rubbish home with you and do not use the bins in the graveyard.
Entrance is by the Lytch Gate only and this will be kept open so as to avoid anyone needing to touch the gates
Please also be respectful of the graveyard and others visiting, and for the present keep your time spent in the graveyard to a minimum, going directly to the grave/s you wish to visit. It is such a peaceful place that it is tempting to linger, but we would ask that you try not to do so for the time being.
We would also point out that, unfortunately, rules and restrictions regarding funerals have not been changed, and therefore interments are still limited to a maximum of 10 attendees.
We apologise for the list of instructions, but our desire is to keep everybody safe to experience the comfort of visiting the resting place of their loved ones.
