Make yourself a cuppa, break out the tray bakes and then log in for a relaxed time with friends. You can talk to everyone at once. You can use the chat feature for a private conversation with a close friend. You can stay on mute if you don't want to say anything (Just wave when someone welcomes you). Some folk join without video when they are having a bad hair day. Folk have been known to join in their jammies! Although the group has been running for some time now, we are always delighted when new folk are able to create a break in their schedule and join us at 11am. We end with a 'thought for the day' and a short prayer together.
These virtual coffee mornings are using a piece of software called Zoom. This is installed the first time that you click on this link:-
If you have not previously used this, say for our Sunday morning service, I suggest that you install the software well before the virtual gathering is due to start. It is neither a large nor complicated install, but you do have give the programme permission to do various things. If you get the installation out of the way, you can then join any of our on-line gatherings by clicking again on the link above.
Connecting to Zoom
The folk at Zoom have made it very easy to load their software onto any device, be it a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. I am told that some people have also connected up from Kindle Fire's and Chromebook's. To join our Sunday evening youth gathering or any of our mid-week gatherings, simply click on this link...
If you would like more technical information, you will find full documentation on Zoom's web page at...
